Freshford Installation

The installation was carved at McKeon Stone Threecastles Quarry as part of a Kilkenny symposium in 1995 and installed in the square in Freshford, County Kilkenny, Ireland later that year.

The transience of time is a recurring theme throughout my body of work. The rhythmic movement of this installation is revealed through the slicing and phrasing of space. To the ebb and flow suggested by this work, I superimposed ascent and decline through the erosion of seemingly industrial gridwork on symbols of built forms.
