Centrifugue

Centrifugue is inspired by certain rudimentary forces, such as magnetism, gravity and centrifugal force. Their motion and momentum create a form of visual music through repeating and dividing rhythms, such as water lapping gently or crashing furiously onto shore, or sand dunes lying still or slowly shifting.

The installation is composed of simple, repetitive, rhythmic movements within its surface, evoking a time continuum that dwells within its mass. It implies an ongoing reaction with external elements as it involves the surrounding structure and environment.

Centrifugue insinuates a contained organic space verging on expanding from or receding into its origins.
